Olswang enters into associations in Hong Kong and Singapore
Olswang has entered into two separate, non-exclusive associations to expand its reach into Asia. The firm has made agreements with Singapore firm Holborn and Hong Kong firm Haldanes. The firm hopes the associations will see clients being cross-referred in the respective regions.
Both associations will be directed through the firm's office in Singapore. The office there was opened in 2011. The firm's Asia managing partner Rob Bratby and Asia head of corporate Andrew Stott will oversee the associations for the firm.
In Singapore, Holborn is a young firm, launched last April by a former deputy managing partner at Singapore boutique Legal Standard. In addition to dispute resolution lawyer Lakshanthi Fernando, arbitration and litigation associate Natalie Tan earns for the small firm.
By contrast, Haldanes in Hong Kong is larger and more established as a firm. It boasts 13 partners and an experience media practices team.
