Eight partners contend for A&O leadership in 2016
Allen & Overy confirmed the eight partners who will compete to fill the vacating roles of senior partner and managing partner next spring, currently held by David Morley and Wim Dejonghe, respectively.
Dejonghe is part of the pack, this time contending for the senior partner role, along with dispute resolution head Tim House, banking co-head Stephen Kensall and competition partner Michel Struys, who is based in Paris.
The managing partner role will be sought by corporate co-head Andrew Ballheimer, banking co-head Andrew Trahair, banking partner Michael Castle and corporate finance partner Simon Black, who is based in Tokyo, making him the only non-European based partner to stand as part of the elections next year.
The elections are scheduled to take place in February and the winners will be announced by the end of that month. The terms will begin 1 May.
