MacFarlanes leadership terms extended
MacFarlanes recently re-appointed its senior partner Charles Martin as well as its managing partner Julian Howard to stay in their respective roles until 2020. The pair’s current terms end in May 2017, with their extensions taking effect immediately thereafter.
Skipping a formal vote, the firm elected instead to consult its partners throughout last November and December before extending the pairs’ terms.
Martin will begin his fourth consecutive term in the spring of 2017, having first stepped into the role of senior partner in 2008. While he stipulated that there is no restriction on the number of terms any person may hold the role, he did note that it was likely to be his last served term.
Howard began his first term as managing partner in 2010.
