CMS Cameron McKenna UK announces change of guard

February 1, 2016 CMS Cameron McKenna announced major changes coming soon with its leadership. The firm has appointed Stephen Millar to be its next UK managing partner. The firm's current managing partner, Duncan Weston, will step down from the role this May.

Millar is a corporate partner who joined the firm in 2003. He specializes in the oil and gas sector and has led teams that involved multiple offices at the firm, including its London and Aberdeen offices. In 2013, he joined the firm's board as practice group manager of energy, projects and construction.

Millar additionally played a significant role in arranging the firm's 2015 merger with Dundas & Wilson. He later became co-executive partner for Scotland, a role in which he was responsible for many teams that spanned several practice areas.

After an eight-year run as UK managing partner, Weston will move into a new role as executive partner for global development at the firm. Weston will be involved with firmwide strategy and will work hand in hand with the firm's executive committee. He will be tasked with international expansion.
