Fried Frank looks for bigger office in London
Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson is seeking out a bigger office space to accommodate its expanding practice in London. The United States firm hired Graham White in October 2014 to lead its expansion. White came to the firm from Kirkland & Ellis, where he was previously London head.
White has reportedly remade the office in his own fashion. When he joined the firm, the London office had 35 lawyers. Since then, the headcount saw a dramatic fall to 13 lawyers before an equally dramatic rise, bringing it to its current headcount of 42 with 15 partners included.
Apparently, that pace of growth is not yet finished, and the firm is considering a location next to the Bank of England where it can accommodate the expansion it anticipates in the next year. If reports prove accurate, the firm will be moving around June into a space with 32,000 square feet, or about twice as big as its current space.
