Perfect retention for Osborne Clarke and Mayer Brown

February 18, 2016 A few Spring 2016 retention rates have been revealed, with two firms reporting a perfect retention round. Osborne Clarke and Mayer Brown have retained all of their trainees, Osborne with seven and Mayer Brown with four.

Osborne's seven trainees will take up positions spread through the firm's office in the UK – in London, Bristol and Thames Valley.

Last Autumn, Mayer Brown only retained 55% of its trainees, or six of the 11 it had. While its retention rate jumped to 100%, it also had fewer trainees. White & Case reported retaining 87% of their trainees, a decrease from its perfect retention last Autumn. The firm however had more trainees, retaining 13 of its 15 trainees.
