King & Wood Mallesons restructuring before new managing partner
King & Wood Mallesons has decided to hold off on elections for a new managing partner for Europe and Middle East until the end of the year. It’s previous managing partner, William Boss, resigned his post in January, one year before his term was scheduled to end.
The restructuring will consolidate 17 practice groups into three elemental practice groups, to be known as the corporate, funds and finance practice, the dispute resolution and regulation practice and the real estate practice. Divisional heads will be entrusted to oversee most of the practice at the firm.
The firm has decided it would be more practical to establish the future structure before electing a new managing partner.
