Gowling WLG loses practice head soon after launch

February 23, 2016 One day after Gowling WLG's official launch, the newly-merged firm lost international energy and natural resources head Kieron Dwyer, who departed for Mayer Brown. Gowling WLG is the new firm created from the merger between legacy firms Gowlings and Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co..

Dwyer spent seven years as a partner at legacy Wragges and also served a stint as head of the project finance team. He came to the firm in 2008 from Clifford Chance, where he was previously a senior associate. In 2010, Dwyer took on the role of head of international energy.

Gowling WLG officially launched its merged firm yesterday and immediately named its international board.
