Senior partner candidate at Addleshaw emerge
Addleshaw Goddard's senior partner Monica Burch winds down, two viable candidates to take the top position have surfaced. M&A partner Andrew Carpenter and head of corporate finance Charles Penny are hoping to take over for Burch, who announced she would step down at the end of her current term.
Carpenter works in the firm's M&A and private equity group and has led the team that develops the firm's international strategy. His experience is notable in the areas of financial services, healthcare, infrastructure, manufacturing and transport.
Penney came to the firm in 2005 from legacy firm Lovells. While at Lovells, he was resident managing partner for the firm in New York.
No more nominations may appear for the contested election, and voting will soon take place. The next senior partner will begin his term on 1 May and serve for three years.
Burch was first elected to the post in 2010 and was elected a second time in 2013. She stated during her second campaign that she would step aside after serving two terms.
