Pillsbury launcing in Hong Kong
Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman has a Hong Kong office launch in the works and is hiring Paul Jebely, aviation finance head at Clyde and Co, to lead its development in the region, including its transportation finance practice.
Jebely has been with Clyde & Co for the past five years, when he joined the firm as a counsel from Ashurst in Hong Kong. He became a partner in 2012 and one year later assumed the role of global aviation finance head.
The US firm's planned launch depends on regulatory approval for a license to establish an office in Hong Kong. It is the firm's third office in China, after Shanghai and Beijing, the former opening in 2006 and the latter in 2014. The office will handle a range of matters including international disputes, internal investigations and regulatory enforcement as well as private client work.
