Dentons lures BLP head
Dentons made a splash, luring away Berwin Leighton Paisner head of corporate crime and investigations, partner Daren Allen. Allen's practice has particular emphasis in inquiries from the UK's Financial Conduct Authority as well as litigation between banks and their customers. Before his five years with BLP, he practiced at DLA Piper.
Allen comes to Dentons on the heels of a 75-lawyer acquisition by the firm. The team was picked up from Matthew Arnold & Baldwin in Watford. It included 11 partners and began its tenure at Dentons at the beginning of February.
Allen is the firm's 20th lateral hire in the UK in the past 16 months.
