Goodwin Procter hires for launch in Paris
Goodwin Procter is preparing to launch an office in Paris and has hired a four-partner team from King & Wood Mallesons to open the office.
The team is headlined by KWM Paris managing partner and corporate co-head Christophe Digoy. Digoy is joined by partners Maxence Bloch, Jérôme Jouhanneaud, and Thomas Maitrejean, all members of KWM's corporate team.
KWM had planned to cut its partnership in the UK, Europe and Middle East already. It announced its plans to cut 15% of its partnership there recently as it sought to restructure its operations strategically.
Goodwin Procter meanwhile seems to have found a working formula for its launches. It hired away a quartet late last year from Ashurst in connection with its Frankfurt launch. The Frankfurt office was the first office opened by the US firm in mainland Europe.
