Noerr revenues pass €200m milestone

April 7, 2016 Noerr, a German firm, has seen a 5.3 percent rise in its revenues for the 2015 financial year, pushing its earnings past the €200m milestone for the first time. The firm’s revenues rose from €190.2m last year to €207.7m. The gains also mark consistent growth, as the previous year’s gains saw the firm’s revenues rise 6.9 percent from €177.9m.

The strong results come in spite of worrying trends for the firm in Central and Eastern Europe, where the firm has significant base of operations. Revenue from the region fell backwards 9.3 percent to €17.5m, owing to the region’s economic and political uncertainties. The fall repeats the losses incurred the previous year, when revenues fell 9 percent between 2013 and 2014.

The firm grew its full-time performing lawyer count by 18 in the past year. At this time, however, while the firm may seek attractive lateral hires, it does not anticipate significant additions to its headcount.
