Dentons revamping management in China

April 19, 2016 Six months after it’s merger with Chinese firm Dacheng, Dentons is considering an overhaul of the management structure in China, to better integrate the firms in the region.

Reportedly, discussions are being held that may yield a new China board that would oversee an operational integration of the firm’s 44 financial independent domestic offices.

At present, the Beijing office is a kind of headquarters in the region. It drafts policies for the firm and guides developments in the other 43 branch offices. The firm has a council of 17 partners, a supervising committee with five members and an executive committee. The existing management structure was installed through elections in April 2014, before merger talks began with Dentons.
