Freshfields appoints new managing partners in Europe

June 30, 2016 Freshfields Brockhaus Deringer has appointed new managing partners in Europe.

Helmut Bergmann, who works in the firm's Berlin office in the Antitrust, Competition and Trade practice, will become regional managing partner in Freshfields' Germany, Austria, Central and Eastern Europe, or DACEE, region.

Alan Mason, who is current based in the firm's Paris office, will become regional managing partner of the ROCE—"Rest of Continental Europe"—region.

The new regional managing partners will work with Julian Long, the firm's London Managing Partner, to facilitate cohesion between Freshfields' various European offices.
