Andrews Kurth picks up 55-lawyer IP team from Kenyon
US firm Andrews Kurth has brought on a 55-lawyer team from Kenyon & Kenyon, a US IP firm with offices in New York, Washington, and Palo Alto. Andrews Kurth is based in Houston, and focuses primarily on energy, finance and technology. The team’s departure from Kenyon is the latest in a series of exits that have left the firm with roughly 50 lawyers, down from around 200 lawyers in previous years. According to Bob Jewell, managing partner at Andrews Kurth, the Kenyon team was an ideal cultural fit for Andrews Kurth. The deal is expected to close in early September.
