Latham taps A&O for German capital markets head
Latham & Watkins has hired Oliver Seiler of Allen & Overy (A&O), the latest in a round of recent hires for the US firm in Europe. Seiler was a corporate partner at A&O who headed the firm’s German capital markets practice, as well as co-head of the equity capital markets group in Europe, Middle East, and Africa. He will be based in Latham’s Frankfurt office.
Latham has hired a number of partners in the region, including Michael Esser of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Oliver Felsenstein, Burc Hesse and Alexandra Hagelüke of Clifford Chance, and Rainer Traugott of Linklaters. Recent partner departures from the firm’s European offices include Dirk Oberbracht and Wilhelm Reinhardt, who will both be moving to Gibson Dunn.
