McDermott hires healthcare head Hamid Yunis from Taylor Wessing

McDermott Will & Emery has hired Hamid Yunis from Taylor Wessing, in a bid to boost the firm’s healthcare practice. During his 14 years at Taylor Wessing, Yunis headed up the Islamic finance and Middle East practices prior to becoming head of healthcare. Yunis will be responsible for building and leading the UK healthcare practice at McDermott, where he will also work on healthcare-related joint ventures with other transactional partners. During that past year, the firm has shifted toward a strategy of highlighting its corporate practice in addition to private client matters.
