Cadwalader shutters Beijing and Hong Kong offices

Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft announced that it will be closing office locations in Beijing and Hong Kong. According to managing partner Patrick Quinn, the firm is shifting its focus to core client groups including financial institutions, funds, and large corporates. The closures are expected to impact four partners and approximately 25 staff members. The Hong Kong legal market has undergone some turbulence recently, while Beijing has seen an uptick in growth by Chinese firms.
