SRA appeals to government to separate from Law Society
The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) has appealed to the government amid plans to separate from the Law Society. The appeal follows last year’s Autumn Statement, in which Chancellor George Osborne discussed the plans for separation. A consultation on the matter planned for earlier this year has not yet occurred. This year’s Autumn Statement is intended to reinvigorate the issue and set forth details for execution of reforms.
