Slater & Gordon to close more UK offices

Slater & Gordon has announced additional office closures in the UK as a result of declining financial performance. Chairman John Skippen made the announcement during the firm’s annual general meeting (AGM), during which he attributed the firm’s financial woes in part to the recent acquisition of Quindell, an outsourcing company. Group managing director Andrew Grech announced specifics of the restructuring plan, which involves closing 15 of the firm’s current 47 offices by early 2017, with further closures to follow later in the year. The plan also includes a 16 per cent reduction in headcount within the UK.
