Holman Fenwick Willan to merge with Texas civil litigation firm

Holman Fenwick Willan (HFW) has announced a merger with Legge Farrow Kimmitt McGrath & Brown, a civil litigation boutique based in Houston, Texas. The boutique will bring eight partners and nine associates to HFW, which will see its overall headcount rise to 915, including 170 partners and 450 lawyers. Legge Farrow focuses on energy, insurance, construction, technology, marine, insurance, financial, hospitality, health, and manufacturing matters. According to HFW global senior partner Richard Crump, the addition of Houston as a hub is a strategic move for the firm, as it seeks to expand its offerings in the region’s key industries, including the oil and gas, aviation, and marine sectors. The new Houston base will be the first in the US for HFW once the merger goes live on 3 January 2017.
