Slaughter and May retains 100 per cent of March 2017 qualifiers

Slaughter and May has announced that the firm will retain 100 per cent of its trainees who are eligible to qualify in March 2017. The firm made offers to all 25 of its trainees who were eligible to qualify in the coming year. During last year’s qualification round, the firm retained 95 per cent of its eligible trainees, with 38 of 40 March 2016 qualifiers accepting offers from the firm. In its most recent round, Slaughter and May posted a retention rate of 89 per cent for autumn 2016 qualifiers. Slaughters recently reviewed its employee benefits and compensation system, launching programs such as flexible work arrangements and sabbatical options. Trainee remuneration will remain at its current level until the firm conducts its next salary review in May 2017.
