Addleshaws to phase out lowest partnership tier following HBJ Gateley merger

Addleshaw Goddard is set to discard its third partnership tier following its upcoming merger with Scottish firm HBJ Gateley. The third tier was instituted to accommodate HBJ partners in preparation for the merger, although some HBJ partners will be integrated into Addleshaws’ top two tiers. Following the merger, however, HBJ partners will be expected to bill at rates that allow them to move into A and B tiers. Based on the outcome of last November’s partner vote, Addleshaws will take on three HBJ offices, including locations in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, and Glasgow.
