Top pay at Ashurst rises by £80k while profits slide 22%

The highest-paid member at Ashurst saw pay increase by £80k last year, with top pay coming in at £1.09m for the year ending in April 2016. Top pay for the prior year was £1.01m. Meanwhile, net profit dropped 22 per cent from £186.6m to £144.8m, and revenue fell 10 per cent, declining from £558.6m to £504.4m. The number of staff members increased by around 70, and salaries decreased from £191.8m to £189.1m. Net funds increased from £11.1m to £14m. The firm has seen a number of changes in the past year, including several partner exits and a revamp of the firm’s lockstep system.
