HSF closes Qatar office

Just days after Clifford Chance announced its Doha office closure, Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF) has also announced it will close its office in Qatar. The firm will incorporate its Qatari practice into its other offices throughout the Middle East. According to HSF Middle East managing partner Zubair Mir, the move is part of the firm’s growth strategy in the Middle East. The firm has decided to serve regional clients out of its larger Dubai hub, rather than through a separate Doha office.
