A&O breaks lockstep for New York team hire

Allen & Overy (A&O) has broken lockstep in order to hire a new finance team in its New York office. The move comes just six months after the firm previously broke lockstep to bring on four partners to the finance team. The new team reportedly includes three partners, and is led by Bill Schwitter of Paul Hastings. An A&O spokesperson said the firm incorporates flexibility into its compensation system in order to remain competitive in the legal market.
