DLA merges with Portuguese firm ABBC following best friends relationship
DLA Piper has announced that the firm will be merging with ABBC, a Portuguese firm that has held a best friends relationship with DLA since 2010. ABBC has been rebranded as part of DLA as of 7 March. DLA co-global CEO Simon Levine led the merger and said the move is a natural step for the firms. Juan Picon, DLA global co-chairman, said the integration provides a valuable base in Portugal and will help the firm serve clients on the Iberian peninsula, as well as Latin America and Africa.
