McDermott Rome office to close in September

McDermott Will & Emery will be closing its Rome office on 30 September, a decision stemming from a recent strategic review by the firm’s executive committee. Carlo Paolella, the firm’s Italy head, said McDermott will consolidate its Italian operations into the firm’s Milan office. McDermott’s Rome office currently includes six partners and 17 fee-earners, all of whom will be based out of Milan following the closure. The firm plans to continue expanding in the region, despite consolidating its office locations.
