Linklaters introduces fixed-hours option in Germany
Linklaters has announced a new flexible work option for its associates in Germany, in which lawyers could arrange a fixed-hours work week. Under the new program, associates could sign on for a fixed 40-hour work week involving precise clock-in times. In exchange, pay would be reduced from the firm’s standard associate payscale. A first-year associate, for example, would receive a salary of €80,000 instead of €120,000. By offering this program in Germany, Linklaters joins other firms such as Baker McKenzie and McDermott Will & Emery, which offer similar flexible work options.
