Covington launches first Asia office in Beijing

US law firm Covington & Burling has launched its first office in Asia, with its former management chair Stuart Stock heading the team in Beijing. The news comes just days after Linklaters has announced that Swedish partner Erik Söderlind will become the firm’s first head of competition and antitrust in Hong Kong.
