Jon Lawrence leaves Freshfields for Brick Court pupilage

Competition partner Jon Lawrence will be leaving his post at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer to join Brick Court Chambers for a pupilage position. Upon completion of the pupilage, he is expected to join Brick Court as a tenant in late 2018. Lawrence has been with Freshfields since 1984, and currently heads up the firm’s competition litigation team, in addition to serving as co-head of its cartel skills group. Dispute resolution head David Scott said the move will offer a sense of continuity to Lawrence’s clients, and that the firm will maintain a skilled competition litigation team following his career change.
