Freshfields trainee retention drops to 66 per cent

Freshfields has reported this year’s autumn trainee retention rate, which came in at 66 per cent. Out of 41 qualifiers, the firm made offers to 29, of which 27 have accepted offers for September. According to trainee development partner Farah Ispahani, the firm considers a variety of factors when deciding to make offers to trainees. She also mentioned that the firm expects its medium-term retention average to hold steady.
