Linklaters, Macfarlanes, Ince and Gowling post trainee retention rates

Several Magic Circle firms have posted their autumn trainee retention figures, including Linklaters, Macfarlanes, Ince & Co, and Gowlings. Linklaters has retained 84% of its trainees after the firm offered positions to 53 members of the 56-trainee group. Gowlings has retained 84%, with a total of 21 trainees staying on in the firm’s London and Birmingham offices. Meanwhile, Macfarlanes posted a retention rate of 100% for its 25 trainees, of which 23 will start permanent positions and two will take on fixed-contract roles. Ince & Co has retained 90% of trainees, with 9 of 10 staying on with the firm.
