Former Linklaters partner Clare Moulder appointed to High Court
Clare Moulder has been appointed to the High Court, making her the first female solicitor to take on the position without previous experience as a barrister. Moulder previously worked at Linklaters, where she was a partner responsible for some of the firm’s key banking clients in London. She joined the firm in 1982, and was made up to partner in 1991. She became a recorder in 2010, and later was later appointed as a deputy High Court Judge. In 2015, she was appointed as a Specialist Circuit judge. Charlie Jacobs, senior partner at Linklaters, said the appointment shows that solicitors can transition to top spots in the judiciary.
