Hogan Lovells slashes 90 support roles in London

As Hogan Lovells begins a consultation for its business services arm, the firm has announced a decision to eliminate 90 London-based roles. The roles include business services staff as well as legal support positions. Some of the affected employees will be transferred to Hogan Lovells’ legal support centres, which are based in Johannesburg and Birmingham. The firm currently expects about 2/3 of staff affected by the cuts to move to Johannesburg. Following the reduction in headcount, the London office will still retain the largest proportion of the firm’s business services staff.
