Richard Masters named Scotland and Northern Ireland chairman at Pinsents

Richard Masters has been named as the new chairman of Pinsent Masons’ Scotland and Northern Ireland arm. He replaces Kirk Murdoch, who passed away in March. Masters joined Pinsents from legacy McGrigors when the firms merged in 2012. He served as managing partner at McGrigors, and became executive chairman of Pinsents’ electronic risk compliance service Cerico in 2015. Following the transition, Masters will retain his position on Cerico’s board and will continue to practice in the firm as a partner. Pinsent managing partner John Cleland said Masters’ experience will help the firm to boost its capabilities in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
