Baker McKenzie hires partner in Tokyo as finance partner departs firm in Hong Kong

Baker McKenzie has hired Seiji Matsuzoe as a partner in the firm’s Tokyo capital markets practice. Matsuzoe previously worked as a partner at White & Case and specializes in financing matters involving capital market transactions. Meanwhile, Janice Tay of Baker McKenzie member firm Wong & Partners was promoted to the firm’s partnership in Kuala Lumpur. Baker McKenzie also lost partner Damien Whitehead, who joined Ashurst in the firm’s Hong Kong office.
