Vinson & Elkins nabs Jones Day finance partner

Vinson & Elkins has hired Paul Simcock, who joins the firm from Jones Day in the firm’s London office. He will join as a finance partner in Vinson & Elkins’ corporate finance practice. Prior to joining Jones Day in 2014, Simcock worked at Berwin Leighton Paisner, and previously held a position as counsel at Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom. Simcock focuses on finance matters including distressed transactions, refinancings, debt restructurings, and bilateral lending products for clients including banks, corporations, alternative credit providers, and private equity sponsors.
