Magnet of Middle East attracts top City law firms
Clifford Chance, the world's biggest law firm by revenue, opened a new office in Abu Dhabi earlier this week with 14 lawyers drawn from offices including London. The office size is expected to double in the next two years. City law firms are rapidly increasing their presence in the Middle East in an effort to counter a slowdown in London. Allen & Overy, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Herbert Smith have opened offices in the oil-rich emirate in the past months. Norton Rose is expected to open soon.
