Kirkland hires Kate Stephenson from Weil

US firm Kirkland & Ellis has hired Kate Stephenson as a partner in the firm’s London office. She joins Kirkland’s restructuring practice, where she will focus on restructurings and insolvency, in addition to taking on business development and work stream responsibilities. Prior to joining Kirkland, Stephenson spent four years at Weil Gotshal & Manges, where she was a professional support lawyer in the firm’s restructuring group. She previously worked at Allen & Overy, where she trained.
