Gowling WLG reveals decreases in revenue and profits in UK
Gowling WLG recently released its financial results according to the firm’s UK LLP, showing a decline in profits and revenue.
The LLP accounts, which include results for the year ending 30 April 2018, indicate that revenue decreased by 5%, coming in at £179.9m. Profit fell by 14% from £60m to £51.9m. Despite decreases in the UK, the firm’s overall revenue rose by almost 17% for the year.
According to Gowling chief executive David Fennell, the financial results can be attributed to the loss of the firm’s private client business.
