Top White & Case lawyers bill $1,260 an hour

More than 70 percent of big US law firms surveyed rising billing rates in 2008, with rates up to $1,200 per hour. The average partner rate was at $451 an hour at all law firms surveyed. White & Case reported the highest rate for its top lawyers, $1,260 an hour.
