Barlow Lyde & Gilbert to launch in Brazil
UK-based international law firm Barlow Lyde & Gilbert LLP has announced plans to open an office in São Paulo this year. The office will open once regulatory approval has been obtained from the Brazilian authorities. It will be headed by BLG partner Jeremy Shebson who will divide his time between Latin America and BLG’s London office, and supported by associate director Fernando Albino. Senior partner Simon Konsta said: “This expansion is in response to client demand. Our proposed São Paulo office will allow us to broaden our services to aviation clients and to extend the reach of our international arbitration, insurance, and marine, energy and trade practices." Many of the firm’s major aviation clients also have substantial Latin American business.
