Linklaters and Standard Life winers at first Financial News Legal Awards

UK law firm Linklaters and the legal department of Europe’s biggest mutual life insurer, Standard Life, were the big winners at the inaugural Financial News Legal Awards ceremony on November 8. The awards were the first in the legal sector to be decided democratically, with a shortlist of candidates selected by a Financial News panel and the winners then chosen by the newspaper’s readers. Clients were given the chance to vote for their favorite lawyers in private practice and members of law firms could choose the best in-house teams they had encountered.
