Allen & Overy, Freshfields, Slaughters working on Dunfermline rescue

A number of the UK's best-known firms are involved in the deal to prevent the collapse of Scottish lender Dunfermline Building Society. The deal has taken place based on new Treasury powers enabling the government to aid failing banks.
