Antitrust suit against US firm Fragomen dismissed
A judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York dismissed an antitrust action against major immigration firm Fragomen brought by a competitor, immigration consulting firm Emigra. While the suit alleged that Fragomen used trade secrets obtained by a former Emigra employee subsequently hired by Fragomen and argued that this was an attempt to obtain a monopoly over immigration legal services, the court determined that the action in fact stated commercial tort claims for relief, more appropriately heard in state court.
