Mayer Brown extends first-year deferral

Reports exist that a few weeks after indicating its incoming first-year associates in 2009 would be offered the option to defer their start dates until early 2010, Mayer Brown is now making clear that associates will be offered the chance to defer for up to twelve months, until October 2010. The programme is considered voluntary and associates who participate will be offered a stipend and benefits.
