Lawyers for Sun Micro may face layoffs after merger

Lawyers working for companies which have been acquired by Oracle within the last year have faced layoffs, reports indicate. As a result, some are concerned that Sun Microsystems' lawyers may be confronted with the same problem. There may be more hope for Sun's lawyers, however, due to Sun's activities in areas such as hardware which have less overlap with Oracle's current business.
