German ministry outsources legislation to Linklaters

Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg, the head of the German Economics Ministry, faces tough criticism for hiring international law firm Linklaters to draft key legislation for rescuing bankrupt banks. Critics see a conflict of interest, as Linklaters has advised several major banks in recent months. Jan Endler, partner in the Berlin office of Linklaters, was responsible for drafting the 28-page legislation.
